The IronPigs welcome the RailRiders to Coca-Cola Park for a four-game set starting tonight at 7:05 p.m.

PITCHING MATCHUP

Tom Eshelman takes the mound for the IronPigs against Michael King. The pitching matchup is presented by Allentown Family Foot Care, which provides the latest in medical and surgical treatments of the entire foot and ankle. Visit affc.com for more information.
Eshelman takes the hill looking for his third win of the year. In his last 12 starts, Eshelman has posted an ERA of 3.75 and has allowed two runs or less seven times. King is making his first career start against the IronPigs. King, a former seventh round pick of the Marlins out of Boston College, was acquired in a trade by the Yankees for Garrett Cooper in November of 2017.

LAST GAME

Lehigh Valley took the lead back from Syracuse in the top of the eighth inning. Mitch Walding was hit by a pitch and later stole second to set up the go-ahead run.
Joey Meneses followed with a run scoring single to right field to score Walding and make it 2-1 against Chris Smith (4-5). Two batters later, Aaron Altherr extended his hitting streak to 10 games with a RBI double to score Meneses and make it 3-1.

HEAD-TO-HEAD

The RailRiders lead the Iron Rail Rivalry with nine wins. In order to hang on to the Iron Rail and earn an outright win, the IronPigs would need to sweep the Railriders during this four-game set. The IronPigs have defended Coca-Cola Park well against Scranton/Wilkes-Barre this season winning five of seven of the meetings at home.
With SWB in town the Pigs just need one win during the four-game set to clinch their first ever IL-North division title.
