Vogelbach sparked the scoring for the Rainiers with a two-run opposite-field dinger in the bottom of the first inning, scoring center fielder
The Sounds fired back in the top of the second inning, cutting the Rainiers lead in half off of an RBI sacrifice fly by
Marjama then stretched the lead for Tacoma to 4-1 with a two-run home run of his own in the bottom of the fourth, driving in Vogelbach. It was Marjama's first hit in the Mariners organization since joining the system in a trade from Tampa Bay on August 6.

The Sounds picked up the final run of the game in the top of the ninth, finalizing the score at 9-2.
