Rainiers Offense Stays Hot In Third-Straight Victory

TACOMA, Wash. - The Tacoma Rainiers (45-40) scored a season-high six runs in one inning and tied a 2018 best at five games over .500 with an 11-4 victory over the Reno Aces (38-47) Tuesday night at Cheney Stadium.
The Rainiers improved to 8-1 across their last nine July 3rd Spectacular contests and manager Pat Listach moved into sole possession of fifth-most Tacoma wins all-time with the victory.

Tacoma starter Christian Bergman (5-6) tied for the Pacific Coast League lead by making his 17th start of the season and allowed just two runs across six innings. He struck out four and lowered his season-long earned run average to 4.56.
Right fielder Cameron Perkins led the charge for the Rainiers on offense by going 3-for-4 with two runs, a home run and three RBI. Designated hitter Daniel Vogelbach (2x4, R, 2 RBI), center fielder Andrew Aplin (2x3 R, 2B, RBI, BB) and shortstop Zach Vincej (1x4, R, 2B, 2 RBI) also provided sparks to the Tacoma offense.
Right-hander Tucker Healy (1.2) allowed two runs across 1.2 innings of relief and struck out two Reno batters. Darin Gilles (1.1) notched another scoreless outing and struck out one to secure the victory.
The Rainiers head on the road to open a five-game series in Albuquerque starting Wednesday at 5:35 p.m. Right-hander Bryan Evans (1-0, 5.52) will get the start for Tacoma and righty Peter Lambert (0-0, -.--) will man the hill for the Isotopes.
