Couture to Meet with Fans Prior to Aug. 22 OKC Dodgers Game as Part of Xtreme Couture Night Ticket Package

OKLAHOMA CITY - Six-time Ultimate Fighting Championship World Champion Randy Couture and special guests will join the Oklahoma City Dodgers Aug. 22 as they team up for a unique night of events to benefit the Xtreme Couture G.I. Foundation at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark.
Couture was inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame in 2006 - the fourth fighter to be inducted into the Hall of Fame - following his career as one of the most decorated mixed martial arts fighters in the world.

OKC Dodgers fans have the opportunity to purchase a special ticket package for Xtreme Couture Night when the Dodgers play the Nashville Sounds Aug. 22 at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark. Ticket packages start at $38 and feature a pregame meet-and-greet, Q&A session, dinner with Couture and his special guests, a ticket to that night's OKC Dodgers game, an OKC Dodgers hat, as well as a donation to the Xtreme Couture G.I. Foundation.
Couture wrestled at Oklahoma State, where he was a three-time NCAA Division I All-American and two-time NCAA Division I runner up in 1991 and 1992. He wrestled at the World Championships in Greco-Roman and was a three-time Olympic team alternate and a semifinalist at the 2000 Olympic Trials.
He made his professional fighting debut in 1997 and won the Heavyweight division in his first UFC appearance and went on to participate in 16 title fights. He won six UFC title reigns in the Lightweight and Heavyweight divisions and earned the nickname "The Natural."
The former U.S. Army sergeant founded and runs the Xtreme Couture G.I. Foundation, which raises awareness and financially supports wounded veterans and their families. Couture also owns a chain of gyms called Xtreme Couture MMA and a clothing line called Xtreme Couture Clothing. He has also moved into acting, appearing in numerous films and TV shows, including the action film series "The Expendables."
Other guests for the special evening at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark include current University of Oklahoma head wrestling coach and former Olympian Lou Rosselli, three-time NCAA champion Oklahoma State wrestler, coach and Olympian Eric Guerrero and former Olympian Frank Molinaro, who was a NCAA champion at Penn State and currently trains at the Oklahoma Regional Training Center.
Xtreme Couture Night's special events will take place in the Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark Picnic Area, located beyond center field, from 5:30 p.m. - 7 p.m. Aug. 22. prior to the start of the 7:05 p.m. game.
The night's events also fall on a $2 Thursday, featuring $2 select beer, Pepsi products and bottled water and wrap up a five-game home series between the Dodgers and Nashville Sounds.
The Dodgers wrap up a seven-game road trip against Pacific Conference opponents tonight in Las Vegas.
The Dodgers next return home to Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark for a seven-game home series starting at 7:05 p.m. Wednesday against the Tacoma Rainiers. The series continues on a $2 Thursday starting at 7:05 p.m. against the Rainiers.
On Friday, the Dodgers will "Pack the Park Pink," presented by MidFirst Bank, as Dodgers players and coaches will take the field wearing special pink jerseys that will be auctioned off to benefit Susan G. Komen Oklahoma. Fireworks are set to follow the game against Tacoma, presented by MidFirst Bank.
The first 1,000 fans to Saturday's game against the Reno Aces will receive a bobblehead of Dodgers mascot Brix. Gates open at 6 p.m. for the 7:05 p.m. game.
Sunday's game against the Aces starts at 6:05 p.m. and falls on a Chaparral Energy Family Sunday before the homestand wraps up with 7:05 p.m. games both Monday, Aug. 12 and Tuesday, Aug. 13 against Reno.
