On opening night in Orem, the Ogden Raptors went out to a 7-0 lead after two innings en route to a 13-9 victory.
The second game couldn't have been more different, as Ogden only mustered six hits and one run in a 7-1 loss to the host Owlz on Tuesday.
Torii Hunter Jr., Jr., the son of the former Major Leaguer by the same name, drove in the first run of the game for Orem in the second inning with a bloop single. Four Owlz crossed the plate in the fourth, as the first four hitters all reached on singles and a two-run double put the finishing touches on the frame.
The Raptors' lone run came in the sixth. Brock Carpenter roped his first of two hits to open the top of the fifth, and three batters later he came home on a bases-loaded fielder's choice.
A run in the sixth and one in the eighth put the game away for Orem.
Kevin LaChance was a Raptors standout at the plate in his professional debut, going 2-for-4 with a bunt single in the eighth.
