Portland, Maine -The Reading Fightin Phils (30-40) offense lit up the summer sky on Wednesday night and powered a 12-3 win over the Sea Dogs (26-44) at Hadlock Field. Both Reading and Portland have reached the midway point in the 2018 season.

Trailing 3-2 in the fifth, Reading scored six runs in the top of the fifth and added four more on a grand slam by Austin Listi in the sixth to take a 12-3 lead.
Harold Arauz (W, 4-4) worked a quality start, allowing three runs on six hits over six innings of work. The righty struck out six and walked just one.
Portland took a 3-2 lead in the third on an RBI double but Jantzen Witte and a two-run homer by Josh Ockimey with two outs in the inning. The homer was Ockimey's team-leading 10th of the year.
Reading scored six runs in the fifth - all with two outs. Austin Bossart (3-for-4, RBI), Zach Green (2-for-5, 2B, 3B, 3 RBI, 2 R), Darick Hall (2-for-5, 2 RBI, 2 R), and Listi (2-for-4, HR, 4 RBI, 2 R, HBP) each had multi-hit games for Reading. Six Fightin Phils scored two runs apiece.
Sea Dogs' starter Dedgar Jimenez (L, 2-6) allowed seven runs on seven hits in 4.2 innings. Jimenez did not walk anyone and fanned five.
Seth McGarry worked two scoreless innings in relief of Arauz and allowed just one baserunner. Edgar Garcia finished the game with a perfect ninth.
The Sea Dogs and Fightins wrap-up their four-game series on Thursday night with a 6:00 start in the series finale. Lefty Kyle Hart (5-3, 2.51) makes his 12th start of the season for Portland. Lefty JoJo Romero (4-5, 4.82) is on the hill for Reading.
