AT THE DISH: Albuquerque hit four home runs Tuesday night … Colton Welker connected on his first Triple-A long ball in the first inning … Brian Serven hit his ninth of the season (and fourth against Oklahoma City) in the second … Alan Trejo’s three-run drive in the third gave the Topes a 5-3 lead … Taylor Snyder pulled the Isotopes within 11-10 in the eighth with a three-run shot … Welker, Trejo and Rio Ruiz each had two knocks, with Trejo driving in four.
TOEING THE RUBBER: Topes starter Brandon Gold (3-7) took the loss after giving up nine hits and seven earned runs in 4.1 innings … Jesus Tinoco, Chris Rusin, Heath Holder and Tate Scioneaux all pitched scoreless baseball out of the bullpen but Antonio Santos gave up four runs (all on a pair of homers) in the eighth for what ended up being the deciding margin.
TOPES TIDBITS: Albuquerque scored in double digits in six games on this homestand but lost three of them … The Isotopes put up 94 runs on 133 hits over the course of the 12-game homestand, an average of 7.8 runs and 11 hits per contest … Former Topes lefty James Pazos recorded the save in two of Oklahoma City’s three wins this series … Albuquerque snapped a seven-game streak with at least one triple, the first time that has taken place since at least 2004.
