Reed and Marisnick propel Grizzlies past Isotopes 8-5 Friday night
The Fresno Grizzlies (57-41) powered their way past the Albuquerque Isotopes (47-51) 8-5 Friday night from Isotopes Park. AJ Reed (2-for-4) was the headline after launching his 21st homer of the season and his 70th career in a Grizzly uniform. It would tie him with Brett Pill for third all-time
The Fresno Grizzlies (57-41) powered their way past the Albuquerque Isotopes (47-51) 8-5 Friday night from Isotopes Park.
A pair of runs provided Fresno an early lead in the top of the first.
Reed made it 3-1 in the top of the third when he spanked a double off the wall to dead center.
Albuquerque knotted the score at three in the bottom of the fourth.
The Grizzlies grabbed a 5-3 advantage in the top of the fifth. Marisnick came around to score on a triple to center by
Reed extended the lead to 8-3 in the top of the seventh with a three-run wallop to right field. This was the second time this season that Reed recorded five-plus RBI (six versus Oklahoma City on June 10th). Marisnick also notched his fourth run of the night thanks to the big fly. He would finish a homer shy of the cycle.

With the victory, the Grizzlies improved to 18-7 in the first game of a series, 33-8 when recording 10-plus hits and 43-12 when scoring first.
Both teams continue the set tomorrow evening with two games from Isotopes Park. In the early game, the squads will wrap-up a suspended contest from June 3rd. It will start at 4:05 PT from the fourth inning. Following that, game two will commence with Fresno RHP
