Richelson Pena puts muzzle on 'Hounds in 3-0 win

MIDLAND, Texas (August 26, 2017) - Richelson Peña shut out the Midland RockHounds over eight tremendous frames, lifting the Frisco RoughRiders, the Double-A affiliate of the Texas Rangers, to a 3-0 win Saturday night in the series opener at Security Bank Ballpark.
BIG MOMENTS

• Richelson Pena silenced the RockHounds bats over eight scoreless innings, yielding four hits and a walk with five strikeouts in the victory.
• Isiah Kiner-Falefa tripled and scored on Scott Heineman's RBI groundout in the top of the fourth, giving the Riders a 1-0 edge.
• Andy Ibáñez tripled in a run and scored from third base on a wild pitch in the top of the sixth, pushing the Frisco lead to 3-0.
• Midland starter A.J. Puk allowed three runs on seven hits and two walks over 6 2/3 innings, striking out five in the loss.

• Through the first five games of the road trip, the Riders have three wins, all by way of shutouts.
• Frisco has dealt back-to-back shutouts for the second time this year (also in both games of a doubleheader June 3 vs. Arkansas).
• With eight scoreless innings from Richelson Pena Saturday, Riders starting pitchers have not allowed an earned run in the last 46 innings.
• Scott Heineman extended his hitting streak to seven games and his on-base streak to 13 games with a sixth-inning single.
• The Riders tripled twice in one game for the fourth time this season. Frisco ranks second in the Texas League with 24 triples this season.
