Columbus, OH (September 10) - The Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders topped the Columbus Clippers 13-2 on Sunday afternoon. Estevan Florial swatted two homers in the win to total a farm system high 28 long balls on the season, while Josh Breauxhad his first in Triple-A. The RailRiders notched 15 hits, with everyone in the starting nine reaching successfully.

The Clippers got the first run of the game in the second inning. Angel Martinez singled and reached home on Daniel Schneemann’s RBI base hit.

Scranton/Wilkes-Barre pushed the offense in the next frame. Wilmer Difo led off with a walk and Jesus Bastidas singled to reach. Estevan Florial crushed a three-run home run for a 3-1 advantage.

The RailRiders added one in the fifth with a bases loaded walk to Jake Lamb.

Florial struck again in the next inning with his second home run of the contest. He brought in Difo with him who recorded a base hit to get aboard. The visitors led 6-1.

In the eighth inning, the RailRiders saw the first four batters reach successfully. Difo singled and Bastidas with hit by a pitch. Florial doubled in a run for his sixth RBI of the contest. Andres Chaparro followed with an RBI knock to plate another. Franchy Cordero sent in Florial with his ground out and Jamie Westbrook’s sac fly brought home Chappy for an 8-1 lead.

The Clippers Jonathan Rodriguez smoked a homer 438 feet to get a run in the bottom half.

SWB took it right back with Josh Breaux's first home run in Triple-A this season. He sent the ball straight away to center field for a 11-2 advantage. The Railriders kept the line moving as Brandon Lockridge and Difo drew back-to-back walks. Bastidas and Cordero each knocked in a run for an 13-2 lead.

Southpaw Edgar Barclay (W, 1-3) shined in his five innings of work. He allowed just one run while tying a career-high eight strikeouts. Aaron McGarity and Josh Maciejewski each had scoreless appearances. Michael Gomez gave up a run in his frame. *Zach McAllister *slammed the door shut in the ninth, just days after getting the call as the opener for SWB.

Jared Eickoff (L, 1-6) got the start for Columbus allowing three runs in four innings.

Scranton/Wilkes-Barre returns home next week for their final series at PNC Field this season. The RailRiders will take on the Buffalo Bisons, the Toronto Blue Jays affiliate, beginning Tuesday night at 6:35 PM.
