West Sacramento, CA - After suffering a heartbreaking loss last night, the Sacramento River Cats (51-69) scored early and often against the Salt Lake Bees (60-61) as they took game three Sunday night at Raley Field by a score of 5-3.

Left-hander Matt Gage got the start today for the River Cats and put forth one of his best performances, allowing just two runs over six solid innings. Gage found himself in some trouble early, loading the bases with no outs in the first inning but managed to get out of it unharmed. Right-hander Derek Law pitched the final two innings for Sacramento and earned his seventh save.
The River Cats offense gave Gage plenty of support as four different starters collected an RBI in the win. As a team, Sacramento finished 4-for-6 with runners in scoring position. Mac Williamson had the only multi-RBI game, driving in two runs in the third inning to give Sacramento a 4-1 lead.
In the series finale tomorrow night, it will be Sacramento's Case Kelly (5-4, 4.44) against Salt Lake's Osmer Morales (1-0, 3.12). First pitch is set for 7:05 p.m. (PT) and the game can be heard live online at rivercats.com and on the air on ESPN 1320.
