RiverDogs Even Series with 10-4 Win over Drive
Charleston, SC - The Charleston RiverDogs scored six runs over the final two innings on Saturday night to come away with a 10-4 victory over the Greenville Drive.
Charleston, SC - The Charleston RiverDogs scored six runs over the final two innings on Saturday night to come away with a 10-4 victory over the Greenville Drive.
With the score tied at four in the bottom of the seventh, a two-out error by the Drive (24-44) extended the inning, and
Five more runs in the eighth allowed the RiverDogs (33-34) to pull away.
The Drive took a 2-0 lead in the top of the second, as
Hess's RBI doubles in the third and fifth innings put Charleston ahead, but Cedrola tied the game at four in the sixth with a two-run double to right field.
Cedrola went 4-4 atop the Drive lineup with three RBI, and
Hess powered the RiverDogs with five RBI as part of a four-hit night.
The teams will conclude the first half of the season on Sunday in Charleston at 1:05 PM. The Drive will send right-hander
