The Wichita Wind Surge have announced that Riverfront Stadium will operate as a cashless facility ahead of their inaugural 2021 baseball season. Fans will need to pay with a card in the areas of food and beverage, merchandise and tickets. Additionally, mobile tap-to-pay will be available in each of these areas, excluding the ticket office.
If guests do not have a credit or debit card, they will be able to exchange their cash for a pre-paid Visa card at one of the two READYStation® locations in the stadium. One READYStation is located in the Team Store, at the Riverfront entrance. The other kiosk is inside the ballpark behind Section 10, next to Guest Services. This card can be used in the stadium, as well as anywhere outside the ballpark that Visa is accepted.
As a cashless ballpark, Riverfront Stadium will allow fans to have quicker, safer, and more secure transactions. Eliminating the physical transfer of cash and coins will also significantly cut down on contact between guests and employees, providing a more sanitary overall experience.
Surge Cards, Riverfront Stadium’s form of a gift card, can also be used for concessions, merchandise, and tickets. These can be purchased in advance online at windsurge.com, or at the stadium in the Wind Surge Team Store.
In an effort to continue to make fan interactions as safe and contactless as possible, Riverfront Stadium has also implemented a clear-bag policy. Fans will be encouraged not to bring any bags; however, one (1) of the following will be permitted: One clear bag no larger than 12” x 6” x 12”, or a small clutch bag or purse no larger than 6.5” x 4.5”. Exceptions will be made for medically necessary items and single compartment diaper bags accompanying a child.

The Wind Surge open their home schedule on Tuesday, May 11th when they host the Amarillo Sod Poodles for a six game homestand. Tickets are now available at windsurge.com.
