WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (June 4, 2017) - Left-hander Carlos Rodón will make a rehab start for Winston-Salem in a road game against the Carolina Mudcats on Tuesday night. Rodon has been on the disabled list for the entirety of the season with left shoulder bursitis.
Rodon spent part of his quick rise through the White Sox Minor League system with the Dash in 2014. In four appearances for Winston-Salem, the 24-year-old posted a 1.86 earned run average over 9.2 innings.

In April of 2015, Rodon jumped to the Major Leagues for the first time, and he recorded a 9-6 record and a 3.75 ERA in 26 appearances with the White Sox. Last year, Rodon was 9-10 with a 4.04 ERA for Chicago.
Before becoming the third-overall pick in the 2014 MLB Draft, Rodon put together an incredible career at North Carolina State University. Rodon guided the Wolfpack to the NCAA Tournament in 2012 and 2013. He became the first freshman to win ACC Pitcher of the Year in 2012. One year later, Rodon led the program to its first College World Series appearance since 1968. His 436 career strikeouts represent an NC State record, and he was the fourth pitcher in ACC history to surpass the 400-strikeout mark.
Coverage of Tuesday's game will be available on wsdash.com/broadcast and the TuneIn Radio App. It will also be streamed via the Carolina Mudcats' MiLB.tv feed (subscription required).
The Dash return to BB&T Ballpark on Thursday for a seven-game homestand that kicks off with a Lowes Foods Thirsty Thursday against the Salem Red Sox. For tickets, call (336) 714-2287 or visit wsdash.com.
