Rome Takes Over Beer City
BEER CITY- Thursday night’s Beer City celebration was short lived by Tourists fans thanks to the Rome Braves. The Tourists were handed their most lopsided loss of the season by the Braves; a 22-1 drubbing. Beer City was outhit 23-4 and Rome’s offense combined to hit six Home Runs.

After falling behind 3-0 in the top of the first inning, Quincy Hamilton launched his second Home Run of the season to lead off the bottom of the first. The Tourists were held without a baserunner from then until a fifth inning single by Luis Santana.
Aaron Brown started and kept the Tourists in the game through five innings. Brown held the Braves to three earned runs and departed with Beer City only trailing 4-1 entering the sixth. The Braves then scored two in the sixth, seven in the seventh, four in the eighth, and five more in the ninth. The Tourists used position player A.J. Lee to pitch the last inning.
Deury Carrasco’s eighth inning double and JC Correa’s ninth inning single were the only other offensive highlights. Rome’s Vaughn Grissom hit two Grand Slams; Justyn-Henry Malloy hit two Home Runs; and Willie Carter went 5-for-6 with a Home Run.
