OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. – The Round Rock Express (35-20 | 79-50) evened the series with the Oklahoma City Dodgers (28-27 | 78-50) after taking game four by a final score of 4-2 on Friday night at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark.

Express reliever RHP Grant Anderson (2-1, 3.95) earned the win after throwing 2.0 innings with two hits, one earned run and two strikeouts. Dodgers starter RHP Nick Frasso (1-1, 2.31) went home with the loss after allowing three earned runs on seven hits, two walks and two strikeouts in 5.2 innings. Round Rock RHP Yerry Rodriguez recorded the save after tossing a scoreless ninth inning that saw one hit and one strikeout.

Along the Train Tracks:

  • The E-Train took a 1-0 lead in the second frame after a pair of two out hits. SS Jonathan Ornelas singled and was knocked in on a double from DH Dio Arias. In the home half, two walks and a single loaded the bases for Oklahoma City with no outs. Round Rock collected two outs but a walk to DH Steven Duggar tied the game at one.
  • In the fifth inning, Duggar led off the frame with a solo home run to put the Dodgers in front 2-1.
  • The Oklahoma City lead did not last long after a two-out rally from Round Rock. A single and hit batsman in the fifth inning had two runners on. Three straight RBI singles from CF Evan Carter, 2B Justin Foscue and RF Elier Hernandez had the Express in front 4-2.
  • In the ninth frame, after a one-out single from RF Oscar Mercado, Oklahoma City had the tying run at the plate. RHP Yerry Rodriguez got a strikeout and a ground out to secure the win for the Express.

E-Train Excerpts:

  • SS Jonathan Ornelas tied his season-high with three hits after finishing the night 3-for-4 with one run scored. Friday was his first three-hit game since July 27 against El Paso and eighth overall this season.
  • In the first inning, Dodgers CF Drew Avans was thrown out trying to steal second base and he became the sixth consecutive Dodger to be caught stealing by Round Rock in the series. No Dodgers have recorded a steal through four games of the six-game set.
  • After posting a 1.29 ERA (2 ER/14.0 IP) in 11 appearances last month, LHP Jake Latz earned a hold after 2.0 scoreless innings to start September. He did not allow a hit and earned one strikeout with one walk on Friday.

Next up: Round Rock and Oklahoma City will play in game five of the series at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark on Saturday night. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 p.m. CT. Express RHP Robert Dugger (7-8, 4.36) will face Dodgers RHP Gavin Stone (6-4, 5.04).
