Summary
The Akron RubberDucks took a late one-run lead, 2-1, in the sixth inning of a rain-shortened, seven-inning victory over the New Hampshire Fisher Cats Wednesday night at Northeast Delta Dental Stadium.

Turning Point
The RubberDucks utilized a small-ball approach to push across the winning run in the top of the sixth inning against Joey Murray and the Fisher Cats. Connor Marabell led off the inning with a line-drive single to left field, advanced to second base on a sacrifice bunt from Nellie Rodríguez , then to third base on an Alex Call groundout to the right side of the infield. After an Alexis Pantoja walk, Oscar Gonzalez punched a line drive into right field to give the Ducks the 2-1 lead as Marabell scored easily from third.
Mound Presence
Akron RubberDucks starter Sam Hentges picked up the win in another tremendous start from the big left-hander. In six innings of work, the fourth-round pick only surrenderied four hits and one earned run while striking out seven New Hampshire batters. The only damage Hentges would allow was an RBI single from Josh Palacios in the bottom of the fourth inning, but that would be it for the Fisher Cats for the rest of the game.
Duck Tales
In a tight game offensively, the RubberDucks were able to break the scoreless tie in the top of the second inning with a two out rally, beginning with an Alex Call double into left field. Alexis Pantoja was then able to find the center field grass to push Alex Call home and score the first run of the evening for the Ducks. Each time the RubberDucks scored a run, they did so with a runner in scoring position and two out, which raises their team average in those situations to .221, 99-for-447, this season.
Notebook
With his double in the second inning, Alex Call broke out of an 0-for-12 slide over four games to post his fourth extra-base hit in eight games … The RubberDucks have been stastically better away from Canal Park all season long, including stark differences in batting average (.253 on road/.230 at home), runs per game (4.71 road/3.48 home), HR per game (0.93 road/0.55 home), OBP (.316 road/.303 home), SLG (.403 road/.334 home), and OPS (.719 road/.637 home) … Sam Hentges has now posted seven strikeouts in five of his starts, two of which include his only two wins on the season… … Time of Game: 2:23 (:32 delay)… Attendance: 3,971
