Summary
The Akron RubberDucks could not overcome the early offense of the Richmond Flying Squirrels, snapping their four-game win streak by a score of 6-3 Saturday night at Canal Park.

Turning Point
The Richmond Flying Squirrels jumped out to an early 2-0 lead in the top of the first inning with a Gio Brusa two-run double to the right field corner. That lead would hold for all nine innings against the RubberDucks, as the Akron offense struggled to generate hits against the strong start of Conner Menez.
Mound Presence
Akron starter Jake Paulson struggled through the early innings for the RubberDucks, allowing four earned runs in the first two frames before settling down to get through six innings of work. Working around six hits and three walks, Paulson posted a 10-2 groundball-to-flyball rate on 85 total pitches. Rob Kaminsky came on in relief of Paulson and allowed one run on two doubles, allowing his first run in eight innings.
Duck Tales
The RubberDucks would get a run back in the bottom of the second when Alexis Pantoja 's RBI groundout plated Wilson Garcia , making the score 4-1. Ka'ai Tom gave the RubberDucks a jolt in the bottom of the fifth inning, taking a Conner Menez fastball deep to left field, cutting the Akron deficit to 4-2. Ka'ai Tom added a third run to the RubberDucks tally in the bottom of the ninth, scoring Marabell on his RBI single to left field.
