Today Major League Baseball announced the rosters for its annual Futures Game, and the Tulsa Drillers will be well represented in the event.
The Futures Game features the top Minor League prospects from every organization in an exhibition game as part of the Major League Baseball All-Star break. The game between the U.S. Team and the World Team will take place on Sunday, July 15 at Nationals Park in Washington D.C.
Ruiz is ranked as the 44th overall top prospect, and second highest catching prospect in all of baseball according to MLB.com. The 19-year-old has thrown out potential base stealers at an impressive .461 clip, and has a .994 fielding percentage. He is hitting .248 with six homers and 22 RBI in 60 games this season.
Diaz is ranked as the number four prospect in the Dodgers organization, and is putting together a solid year in Tulsa. In 52 games, the outfielder is hitting .295 with five home runs and 25 RBI.
Fans will be able to watch the Futures Game on July 15 at 3:00 PM on MLB Network.
