1B T.J. Rumfield (1-for-4, RBI, BB, 3 K) was the fifth consecutive Patriot to reach base to start the tenth inning, capping a three-run frame with the game-winning hit that brought home Ben Rice from third.
The hit was Rumfield’s first for Somerset since July 23, after he was reinstated from the injured list on September 5.
Rumfield was credited with his third walk-off hit of the season, leading all members of the Patriots. With his 51st RBI, Rumfield continues to lead all active Patriots in that category.
RF Jeisson Rosario (1-for-3, RBI, BB, 2 K) extended his hit streak to a season-high-matching seven games, in which he is 9-for-24.
