Milwaukee’s Joey Wiemer continued his scorching run in the desert with a three-hit night and two walks. The 23rd-ranked Brewers prospect has seven hits in his last two games for Salt River. Tigers outfield prospect Eric De La Rosa also hit his second Fall League homer in as many days in the win. Slade Cecconi, the D-backs' No. 7 prospect, earned the victory after striking out five, walking none and allowing just one earned run on five hits in four frames. More »

Surprise 10, Peoria 6
Suely Matias connected on his second home run of the Fall League before injuring himself on his way around the bases. The Royals outfield prospect launched a solo shot to left-center in the fifth – his second RBI of the game – and appeared to pull up before making it back home. He was promptly removed from the game for Elijah Dunham. Left-hander Asa Lacy took the hill for the Saguaros and twirled a pair of hitless frames, allowing a single walk while fanning five. The third-ranked Royals prospect struck out 79 over 52 innings with High-A Quad Cities this season. Kansas City’s Nathan Eaton led all batters with a four-hit night – falling a homer shy of a cycle – that included a pair of RBIs and two runs scored. Cincinnati’s Ivan Johnson (No. 16) mashed his third long ball of the campaign – a two-run shot – as part of a two-hit, three-RBI performance. Philadelphia’s Logan O’Hoppe (No. 11) and Atlanta’s Jesse Franklin V (No. 17) each found the seats for the first time in Arizona. O’Hoppe crushed a two-run jack in the seventh, and Franklin V clubbed a three-run blast in the ninth to cap the scoring. More »
