SAN ANTONIO - Ripken Reyes homered to start the seventh inning Tuesday night, lifting the Missions to a 5-4 win over Corpus Christi before a crowd of 4,976 fans at Wolff Stadium.
Thanks to round-trippers by Robbie Tenerowicz and Robert Perez Jr., the Missions garnered a 2-0 lead after four against Aaron Brown.
The Hooks fought back by scoring three times in the fifth, a frame fueled two hit by pitches, singles from Colin Barber and Jeron Williams, as well as a bases-loaded walk from Jordan Brewer. Jeremy Arocho knocked in the third run via a sac fly.
Corpus Christi's lead was fleeting as Brandon Valenzuela clubbed a two-run clout to right in the fifth for a 4-3 SA edge.
