Right-hander Jose Flores got the start for Sacramento and kept Tacoma in check over his five innings. The right-hander allowed three runs on four hits while holding the Rainiers to 1-for-7 with runners in scoring position. Flores, who made 24 appearances with the River Cats in 2014, fanned five batters this afternoon before giving way to the bullpen. The trouble started after he exited the game however, as the Tacoma offense tallied nine runs on ten hits over the next four innings.
