San Jose Giants Homestand Preview: May 19 and May 20

San Jose, CA- The San Jose Giants return to our town for a quick but action-packed two-day homestand. Our team squares off with Northern Divisional rival the Modesto Nuts, an affiliate of the Seattle Mariners on Friday, May 19 and Saturday, May 20. The abbreviated homestand should provide a pair of dramatic contests as each team looks to get a leg up in the division. The weekend also features some of the most exciting events and promotions of the year. The first evening is a special KRTY Family Friday as our Giants host San Jose Water Awareness Night presented by San Jose Water Co. Fans can learn about ways to help conserve water with interactive displays, games and booths. Following the game, a dazzling fireworks show will light up the night sky high above historic Municipal Stadium. On Saturday, the Fourth Annual Star Wars Night returns to a stadium not so far, far away. Jedi's, Droids and Stormtroopers will take over the ballpark and harness the force to provide fans with an other-worldly good time. Our Giants will also wear special Star Wars jerseys which fans can bid during an in-game silent auction and the first 200 kids at Muni will receive a special light sword giveaway.
