Sandle Homers for the Third Straight Game but T's Fall 13-6
GREENSBORO- The Asheville Tourists hit a pair of Home Runs on Thursday night; however, the Greensboro Grasshoppers blasted six long balls of their own en route to defeating the Tourists 13-6. Asheville was held to five hits and struck out 15 times in the loss.

Nerio Rodriguez hit his fifth Homer of the season in the top of the third inning to erase an early 1-0 deficit. Greensboro then scored 11 of the game’s next 12 runs by homering five more times in the next four innings.
Jordan Brewer worked a bases loaded walk in the sixth; Michael Sandle hit a solo Home Run in the eighth, and JC Correa hit a three-run double later in the eighth to account for Asheville’s scoring. Sandle has homered in all three games of the current series.
The Tourists starting pitcher, Ray Gaither, had to depart in the second inning with an injury and Asheville’s bullpen had trouble keeping the Grasshopper hitters in check. Danny Cody did work a scoreless inning out of the Tourists pen.
Asheville has now dropped seven straight on the road will have to wait until next week to try and capture their first series victory of the season. Friday night’s contest in Greensboro will begin at 6:30pm ET.
