The Tourists tied a season-low with only two hits and were shutout 1-0 by the Rome Braves. It is the fifth time the Tourists have been held without a run this season and the third time by Rome. Asheville's two hits came by way of a pair of groundball singles; one from

The only scoring play of the game came with one out in the bottom of the sixth. Jean Carlos Encarnacion hit a solo Home Run down the left field line.
Bruce Zimmerman and Brandon White combined for the shutout. Zimmerman began the game by retiring 11 in a row and needed only 80 pitches to complete seven frames. White finished the contest by sitting down six straight for his sixth save of the season.
