WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (June 10, 2017) - Behind 11 hits and a pair of four-run innings, the Dash snapped a five-game losing streak with a 10-4 victory over the Salem Red Sox on Saturday night in front of 5,757 fans at BB&T Ballpark.
In the win, outfielder Aaron Schnurbusch shined in his first game with Winston-Salem (20-42) since May 11. The 23-year-old, who rejoined the Dash from extended spring training on Saturday, went 2-for-5 with an RBI and two runs scored.

Meanwhile, Danny Mendick also contributed in a big way, tying a career-high with three RBIs. The Fairport, N.Y., native registered a 2-for-3 effort, which included a two-run homer and an RBI single.
Before the evening swung the Dash's way, Salem (38-24) took the early edge for the third consecutive contest. With a runner on first and two outs in the fourth, Jordan Betts broke a scoreless tie by smacking a two-run shot to left against Winston-Salem starter Brannon Easterling (4-3).
However, the Dash responded by taking the lead in the next half inning. Luis Basabe hit a one-out single against Red Sox starter Mike Shawaryn (0-1), and Louis Silverio followed by lining an RBI double down the left field line to cut the deficit to one.
Shawaryn struck out Brady Conlan for the second out of the inning, but Schnurbusch tied the game by stroking a run-scoring single up the middle to knot the score at two. Four pitches later, Mendick put the Dash ahead with a two-run blast inside the foul pole in left.
Winston-Salem added to its advantage in the fifth against Red Sox reliever Mitchell Osnowitz. Basabe started off the frame with a bloop single to left, and, with Silverio batting, scooted to second on a wild pitch. After Basabe moved to third on Silverio's sacrifice bunt, Conlan drove him in on an RBI groundout to make it a 5-2 game.
Schnurbusch followed with a double, and a wild pitch on ball four to Mendick put runners at the corners with two outs. With Daniel Gonzalez batting, Schnurbusch came home to score on a balk.
Salem answered in the sixth with an RBI double by Austin Rei to make it a 6-3 contest, but Yelmison Peralta replaced Easterling and worked out of a two-on, one-out jam to escape with minimal damage.
The Dash put the game out of reach with a four-run seventh. Mendick blooped an RBI single to right with the bases loaded, and Winston-Salem scored three more runs on an RBI fielder's choice by Gonzalez that was coupled with a throwing error by second baseman Jose Sermo.
