Scrappers Bats Silenced in Shutout

Batavia, NY- One night after sweeping a doubleheader, the Scrappers had their bats silenced at Dwyer Stadium. A first inning two run homerun was enough as the Batavia Muckdogs topped the Scrappers 2-0.

Offensively the Scrappers had chances but couldn't get on the board. Mahoning Valley stranded seven runners on base, including leaving the bases loaded in the top of the eighth inning.
The Scrappers go for the series win on Wednesday night at Batavia. Eli Morgan will start with first pitch set for 7:05. The Scrappers return home on Thursday for another PNC Thursday Buck Night.
