Scrappers Drop First Game to Auburn Since June

Auburn, NY- The Mahoning Valley Scrappers saw a 2-0 lead disappear when the Auburn Doubledays scored six runs in the bottom of the first inning. Auburn never looked back on their way to a 9-6 win. The loss ends an eight game winning streak against Auburn for the Scrappers.
The Scrappers took an early lead in the top of the first inning.

Perez (3-3) took the loss in just 0.2 innings of work. He allowed six earned runs on just three hits. Perez walked one and struck out two.
Despite the loss, the Scrappers stay in first place in the Pinckney Division. With a West Virginia doubleheader split, the Scrappers and Blackbears are tied for first.
