MANCHESTER, N.H. – The Toronto Blue Jays announced Wednesday that right-handed pitcher Sean Rackoski has been promoted from the New Hampshire Fisher Cats to the Triple-A Buffalo Bisons.
Rackoski made 54 relief appearances with the Fisher Cats over the past two seasons. In 29 outings this year, he posted a 5-1 record and struck out 40 batters in 34.1 innings. His five wins were the second-most of any Fisher Cats reliever.
The Arizona native was signed by the Blue Jays as an undrafted free agent on April 6, 2018. Rackoski had a 2.73 ERA in 36 outings combined between Lansing and Vancouver in 2019, his first year with full-season affiliates. He struck out a career-high 67 batters and recorded six saves. This is the first time Rackoski has been promoted to Triple-A in his career.
The Fisher Cats continue the six-game home series against Richmond (Giants affiliate) Wednesday at 7:05 and are at home through next Sunday, August 14.
