JACKSON, Tenn. (July 29, 2017) - The Mobile BayBears, the Double-A affiliate of the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, trailed by just one run after five innings but were defeated by the Jackson Generals 8-1 in the series finale Saturday night at the Ballpark at Jackson.
Jackson broke the tie with a pair of two-out infield singles and two throwing errors in the fifth inning. The Generals tallied six runs on five hits in the sixth, including a two-run double by former BayBear Jaime Westbrook.
The BayBears return home to Hank Aaron Stadium to begin a six-game home series against the Mississippi Braves Sunday at 5:05 p.m. CT.
