BELOIT—Sunday’s scheduled game with the Cedar Rapids Kernels has been postponed due to inclement weather.
Because the Kernels do not return to Beloit during the season’s first half, the game will be made up as part of a doubleheader in Cedar Rapids on Saturday, April 27. Game one is scheduled for a 1:05 p.m. start, with the second game set to begin 30 minutes after the completion of the first.
The Sky Carp began their season with a pair of victories over the Kernels, winning 3-1 on Friday night and 2-1 Saturday afternoon. Through the season’s first 18 innings, Beloit allowed just one earned run.
Following a day off Monday, the Sky Carp will travel to Peoria for a six-game series with the Chiefs. Beloit will return home Tuesday, April 16 for the first of six games with the South Bend Cubs.
