Sky Sox Drop Game One, 4-1
Nate Orf delivered the first Sky Sox postseason RBI in 20 years, but three Memphis home runs gave the Redbirds a 4-1 win in game one of the PCL semifinals in front of 4,006 at AutoZone Park Wednesday night.
A solo home run gave the Redbirds an early 1-0 lead, but the Sky Sox battled back with a game-tying run in the third inning.
Taylor Jungmann went six innings for the sixth straight start, striking out a quartet of Redbirds in his second start of 2017 at AutoZone Park.
RHP Aaron Wilkerson makes his season debut with the Sky Sox at 6:05 p.m. MT at AutoZone Park, looking to help the Sox tie the series against Memphis RHP Kevin Herget. During the regular season at Double-A Biloxi, Wilkerson went 11-4 with a 3.16 ERA against Southern League opposition.
