Sky Sox Snap Skid, 13-4
Angel Ventura shut down the Rainiers and Ivan De Jesus set a new franchise record to lead the Colorado Springs Sky Sox to a 13-4 victory over Tacoma in front of 7,417 at Security Service Field Tuesday night.
Starting his second career game in the Centennial State, Ventura threw six strong innings, allowing one earned run on seven hits while striking out three batters over his 91 pitches to help the Sox increase their lead over Oklahoma City to 7.5 games. The right-hander out of Santo Domingo allowed a single run in a game for the second time in Triple-A, with the first time coming June 16 in Memphis.

One batter later, Ivan De Jesus lined the fourth straight hit of the inning to center field, setting a new franchise record with a 41-game on-base streak. Colorado Springs has had all nine batters in their lineup record at least one hit six times in 2017, with the last time before Tuesday night coming July 5 against Nashville at Security Service Field.
