The Colorado Springs Sky Sox got back in the win column, evening their series with the Round Rock Express with a 4-2 win in game one of Thursday's day/night doubleheader at Security Service Field.
The Colorado Springs Sky Sox got back in the win column, evening their series with the Round Rock Express with a 4-2 win in game one of Thursday's day/night doubleheader at Security Service Field.
The Sky Sox (69-44) jumped out to an early 1-0 lead in the first inning. With two outs,
Round Rock (54-62) would tie the game with a run in the top of the third inning, but the Sox responded with a run of their own in the bottom half of the frame.
The lead would extend to 3-1 when Chris Colabello came home via a Wagner wild pitch in the fourth inning. Two innings later, after the Express picked up a second run in the top of the sixth inning, the hosts once again responded as Orf trotted home via the second wild pitch of the day for Round Rock pitching.
