The Tennessee Smokies picked up a 5-1 win over the Birmingham Barons on Wednesday night.

Chris Kachmar gets the win for his efforts, working six innings while allowing just one hit and one run. Jimmy Endersby worked a scoreless eighth and Eduarniel Nunez closed out the ninth for Tennessee.

Tennessee's offense got on the board in the third with an RBI double from Jonathon Long. Christian Franklin launched a moonshot in the fourth inning, a two-run shot to make it a 3-1 lead for the Smokies. A Kevin Alcantara double and a Yohendrick Pinango double in the fifth added two more insurance runs.
