Chris Kachmar (3-2) pitched five innings and struck out seven. Aaron Perry, Carlo Reyes and Blake Whitney combined to pitch the last four innings scoreless.
Offensively, the Smokies scored all of their runs on home runs. Yohendrick Pinango hit a solo home run to get the scoring started and then Haydn McGeary hit a two-run home run and a three-run home run in back to back innings. McGeary now has nine long balls and 35 RBIs this year.
