The Smokies were forced to play catch up before they even stepped to the plate in the bottom of the first inning after the Jumbo Shrimp scored the two runs on Clifton. The Smokies were not able to answer the bell for the first 4.2 innings as they were no-hit.

That would be all the scoring until the 10th inning when Martinez hit a fly ball that was lost in the lights by the Jacksonville outfielders, allowing Balaguert to score the winning run.
The Smokies will be back in action on Sunday as they take on Jacksonville at 2 p.m at home.
The day will feature a free youth clinic presented by Rocky Top Customz beginning at 12:00 pm. It will also be Touch-A-Truck presented by Crave Golf Club, Rafting in the Smokies, and TopJump Trampoline & Extreme Arena where fans will be able to check out an array of vehicles including EMS vehicles, helicopters, limousines, and much more.
