Snow returns from AAA Colorado Springs, Ortiz placed on 7-day DL
BILOXI, MS - The Milwaukee Brewers announced the following roster moves before Tuesday's series finale against Jacksonville. RHP Luis Ortiz has been placed on the 7-day disabled list (hamstring) retroactive to June 9. RHP Forrest Snow has been transferred from Triple-A Colorado Springs to Biloxi and will start tonight.

RHP Luis Ortiz has been placed on the 7-day disabled list (hamstring) retroactive to June 9. RHP Forrest Snow has been transferred from Triple-A Colorado Springs to Biloxi and will start tonight.
Snow, 28, was promoted to Triple-A Colorado Springs on Thursday after going 4-2 with a 3.97 earned run average in 17 relief appearances with the Shuckers. In his only appearance with the Sky Sox on Friday, Snow pitched 3.1 scoreless innings to earn the win in a 7-3 victory. He is expected to start tonight's game against the Jumbo Shrimp, marking his first start of the season. The Seattle, WA native has made 78 starts over the course of his eight-year professional season. He has a career record of 36-46 with a 4.20 ERA in 222 career games.
Ortiz, 21, had gone 3-3 with a 3.02 earned run average in 11 starts for the Shuckers. The fourth-best prospect in the Brewers organization according to MLB.com pipeline, Ortiz had pitched 10.0 consecutive scoreless innings before his injury. The Sanger, CA native ranks third in the Southern League with a .189 opponents' batting average.
