For the second straight night, the Sky Sox offense jumped out to a first-inning lead. With one out, Ryan Cordell launched home run No. 6 over the high wall in left field, scoring Kirk Nieuwenhuis to give the hosts a 2-0 lead. During his current seven-game hitting streak, Cordell 13-for-28 with two home runs, three doubles and 10 RBIs.
The Sky Sox conclude both their season series with the River Cats and their eight-game homestand Sunday afternoon, when LHP Josh Hader (3-2, 4.54) squares off with fellow lefty Michael Roth (2-3, 4.88) at 1 p.m. MT. Sunday is also the Sox Mother's Day celebration, with the team wearing special pink jerseys that fans can bid on during an in-game silent auction.
