How it Happened
* Red Sox bats came ready in the first inning. Jarren Duran and Jagger Rusconi led off the game with back-to-back singles, Duran flying across home from first to take a 1-0 advantage. Ryan Fitzgerald kept the hit parade alive with a double, advancing Rusconi to third. Pedro Castellanos drove in Rusconi on an RBI groundout for a 2-0 lead.
* Bryan Mata worked through 2 2/3 innings before an RBI double by MJ Melendez cut Salem's lead 2-1.
* Jake Cosart protected the lead with 1 1/3 of no-hit relief to secure the win.

* Wilmington struck again in the third, MJ Melendez reaching on a double and scoring off a wild pitch by Devon Fisher.
