Space Cowboys Preliminary Roster Announced 

(SUGAR LAND, Texas) – The Houston Astros today announced the preliminary roster for the 2022 Sugar Land Space Cowboys ahead of their Opening Day on April 5 at Sacramento.

The Space Cowboys roster features nine prospects featured in MLBPipeline’s Astros Top 30 Prospects Rankings, including C Korey Lee (No. 2) RHP Hunter Brown (No. 3) and IF/OF Pedro León (No. 4). The additional top 30 prospects include: RHP Peter Solomon (No. 7), RHP Shawn Dubin (No. 8), LHP Jonathan Bermudez (No. 19), RHP Tyler Ivey (No. 20), OF Alex McKenna (No. 22) and OF Corey Julks (No. 28).

The preliminary roster also includes three players with Major League service time in IF Franklin Barreto, RHP Brandon Bielak, OF Lewis Brinson, Ivey, RHP Josh James, RHP Seth Martinez, LHP Adam Morgan, RHP Enoli Paredes, LHP Zac Rosscup and Solomon.

The Space Cowboys’ Home Opener is set for April 12 at Constellation Field vs. the Round Rock Express, which will be the first of a six-game series against Round Rock.
