EASTLAKE, OH - The Lansing Lugnuts (19-21, 51-58) split their fourth four-game series of the year with the Lake County Captains (22-18, 62-47), dropping a 5-1 Friday night season series finale on Friday night at Classic Park.

The Lugnuts won the season series, 10-9, winning two of three in the lone three-game series between the two teams and evenly splitting the other 16 meetings in the four four-game series.

19-year-old Captains starter Matt Turner (Win, 2-0) held the Lugnuts to merely a Ryan Gold double in five scoreless innings, striking out three and walking four.

Lugnuts starter Sean Wymer (Loss, 5-11) did not fare as well, allowing a run on a bases-loaded double-play ball in the first inning, followed by two Captains runs in the fourth and the sixth on seven total hits and two walks, with four strikeouts
.

Lansing's only run came in the eighth inning. Hunter Steinmetz drew a walk from Luis Valdez, moved to second on a wild pitch, to third on a groundout, and scored on a second Valdez wild pitch.

The Nuts finished with three hits against Turner, Jake Miednik and Valdez: Gold's double, a Griffin Conine single and an Otto Lopez double.

The second leg of Lansing's eight-game road trip brings the Lugnuts to Bowling Green, Ky. Right-hander Juan De Paula (9.48 ERA) starts against Hot Rods right-hander Easton McGee (3.75) at 7:35 p.m. Eastern / 6:35 p.m. local.
