STOUFFER’S joins MiLB in honoring local heroes

Building off the successful launch and execution of MiLB CommUNITY First, a national initiative developed in conjunction with Feeding America to raise funds for local food banks and to honor individuals risking lives on the front lines of the current coronavirus pandemic, Minor League Baseball and STOUFFER’S announced a continuation of the two brands’ efforts to make a difference in MiLB communities. STOUFFER’S will donate 1,500 tickets to its 15 activation club markets to further the impact and support local heroes, including essential and front-line workers, educators, health care professionals, military personnel and more.
The 15 activation clubs include the Akron RubberDucks, Altoona Curve, Charlotte Knights, Columbus Clippers, Durham Bulls, Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp, Lansing Lugnuts, Lehigh Valley IronPigs, Louisville Bats, Norfolk Tides, Reading Fightin Phils, Richmond Flying Squirrels, Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders, Toledo Mud Hens and Trenton Thunder.
The donation perfectly continues an important component of MiLB CommUNITY First: showing thanks and appreciation to the many men and women in MiLB communities that continue to serve their fellow citizens. This contribution from STOUFFER’S raises the total of tickets donated to local heroes to nearly 7,000 since the inception of MiLB CommUNITY First.
“STOUFFER’S has demonstrated passion, integrity and a commitment to serving our millions of fans with more than just premium-quality frozen food in the months since our partnership began,” said MiLB’s Director of Partnership Marketing Stephanie Paladino. “In support of our clubs, STOUFFER’S joins our commitment to giving back to those who work tirelessly in service of others in their respective communities.”
Each of the 15 teams will identify local heroes who are actively working every day to create lasting and positive change in their communities and reward their efforts with a ticket to an upcoming game. Additionally, once it is deemed safe to reopen MiLB ballparks for games, STOUFFER’S will host first responders and their families at select MiLB ballparks for a “Day of Comfort,” to include hospitality, one-of-a-kind ballpark experiences and plenty of STOUFFER’S mac and cheese.
“Comfort and community are at the core of STOUFFER’S brand values,” said STOUFFER’S Senior Associate Brand Manager Andrew Godish. “We appreciate and want to recognize the efforts of those who are going above and beyond for their communities during these difficult, uncertain times.”
Minor League Baseball and STOUFFER’S announced their partnership earlier this year, celebrating communities and providing family-friendly experiences — both central values to the STOUFFER’S and MiLB brands.
