CORPUS CHRISTI - The Hooks engineered their second walk-off win of the week by scoring three runs in the 10th inning to beat San Antonio, 4-3, Thursday night before 3,618 fans at Whataburger Field.
Jordan Brewer helped Corpus Christi to its third consecutive win by plating two runs on a bounding single over the drawn-in second baseman Ripken Reyes, scoring Tommy Sacco Jr. from third and Quincy Hamilton from second to finish the back-and-forth affair.

In the preceding at-bat, Hamilton lined a base hit into left field to chase home the automatic runner C.J. Stubbs to bring the Hooks within a run.
Brewer, 3-for-4 with a double and a stolen base, scored Corpus Christi's first marker which tied the game in the ninth. The University of Michigan product opened the inning with a single and then came around on three ground balls. Jacob Melton accounted for the RBI with a chopper to the right side, enabling Brewer to score from third via a nifty spikes-first slide that eluded the tag of catcher Brandon Valenzuela.

Aaron Brown turned in a stellar start for the Hooks as he retired 15 of 16 batters faced, striking out a new pro-best 10 batters. The lone man to reach against Brown was Reyes, and he did so via a bunt base hit.
