The Atlanta Braves closed out their time in Florida going 2-2 in their last four games to finish 14-16. The Braves fell to the Tampa Bay Rays 8-1 on Thursday, and edged the Detroit Tigers 4-3 on Friday. On Saturday, the Braves lost to the New York Mets 12-2 in their final game at Champion Stadium in Lake Buena Vista. They opened up their new Spring Training facility, CoolToday Park in North Port, with a 4-2 win over the Rays on Sunday.
Here's a look at how some former and potential future Gwinnett Stripers fared:

At the plate


Third baseman Austin Riley, Atlanta's No. 1 prospect according to Baseball America, went 1-for-3 and hit his second home run of the spring on Thursday off Tampa Bay left-hander Brendan McKay. Additionally, Riley went 1-for-1 with an RBI in a pinch-hit appearance on Saturday (totals: 3 games, 2-for-5, 1 HR, 2 RBI).
Longtime Gwinnett infielder Sean Kazmar Jr. swung the bat well going 1-for-3 on Thursday and 2-for-3 on Friday. He bumped his average up to .370 for the spring.
Cristian Pache went 1-for-1 on Friday, the Braves No. 4 prospect according to MLB.com is hitting .361 and leads the club with 10 RBIs (totals: 3 games, 1-for-4).

On the mound


Wes Parsons tossed 2.1 innings on Friday as he picked up his first save of Spring Training. He surrendered just two hits and struck out five. Parsons has pitched 13.1 innings and has not given up a run, he has struck out 15 and has surrendered just five hits.
Chad Sobotka earned his second win of the spring on Friday. He pitched 1.2 innings and gave up one run on two hits and struck out three. The right-hander has a 2-1 record and a 9.35 ERA in nine games.
Kyle Wright, the Braves No. 2 prospect according to MLB.com, struggled in a start Thursday. He pitched 0.2 innings and surrendered six runs on four hits. Wright has a 1-2 record and a 7.11 ERA in five starts.

Roster Moves


Former Stripers Wright and Bryse Wilson have been announced as members of the Braves' rotation to start the season (https://www.mlb.com/braves/news/kyle-wright-bryse-wilson-make-braves-roster). Outfielder Adam Duvall, pitchers Touki Toussaint and Dan Winkler have been optioned to Gwinnett.

What's next


The Braves play a pair of exhibition games at SunTrust Park against the Cincinnati Reds, Monday at 7:20 p.m. and Tuesday at 1:10 p.m. The Braves begin regular season play March 28 at the Philadelphia Phillies.
