Suarez was able to get out of the inning with no further damage, getting Evan Mendoza to line into a double play.
Bees would get the lead back in the next half inning. With one out, Leonardo Rives doubled down the right field line. With two outs and Rivas still at second base, Richie Fecteau singled to center, scoring Rivas, putting the Bees back in front, 2-1. The Bees added to their lead in the top of the seventh inning. Brennan Morgan then grounded into a double play, scoring Rivas, pushing the lead to 5-1.
The Peoria Chiefs would get a run on wild pitch in the bottom of the seventh inning but the Bees would get that run back in the ninth, extending their lead to 6-2 on a wild pitch.
