Due to rain, Sunday afternoon's series finale between the Somerset Patriots and Reading Fightin' Phils has been suspended in the middle of the ninth inning with the score tied 4-4.
The suspended game will resume on Tuesday, August 15 at FirstEnergy Stadium in Reading. It will take place prior to the start of the regularly scheduled 7 p.m. first pitch in Reading.
When the game resumes, the Patriots will have Matt Pita, Trey Sweeney and Jasson Dominguez due up in the bottom of the ninth inning.
During the portion of the game which took place on Sunday, July 9, Somerset took a 4-0 lead, before four unanswered runs scored for Reading between the sixth and seventh innings.

Elijah Dunham (3-for-4, RBI, R, HR, K) and Matt Pita (1-for-4, 2 RBI, R, HR) each hit their first Double-A home runs of the season for Somerset.
Josh Breaux (2-for-4, R) registered his first multi-hit game of the season for Somerset.
Richard Fitts (6.0 IP, 1 ER, 3 H, 1 BB, 4 K) made his Eastern League-leading ninth quality start of the season and got a no-decision.
Over Fitts' last nine starts dating back to May 24, he has posted a 2.09 ERA with 60 strikeouts over 56.0 IP, which leads Minor League Baseball during that span.
After Sunday, the Eastern League All-Star break will take place from Monday, July 10 through Thursday, July 13. Somerset will begin its post All-Star break portion of the second half with a season-long nine game road trip.
The road trip will begin with three games in Binghamton vs. the Binghamton Rumble Ponies (New York Mets) on Friday, July 14 at 7:05 p.m. It will conclude with six games in Hartford vs. the Hartford Yard Goats from July 18 through July 23.
