Sweet (4-4) set the tone early by striking out the Legends (5-12, 42-44) looking in order in an impressive first inning. The matchup quickly turned into a pitcher's duel, as Charlie Neuweiler (3-9) battled pitch-for-pitch with Sweet and kept the game scoreless into the third.
In the top of the third, the Power (9-8, 46-41) tallied their first run of the ballgame on a
West Virginia added some run support for Sweet in the sixth inning with two runs on just one hit.
