LAS VEGAS, Nev. - The Tacoma Rainiers (27-25) fell to the Las Vegas 51s (21-31) by a final score of 10-2 Monday night at Cashman Field in Las Vegas.u1:p
Rainiers starter Ashton Goudeau (1-2) took the loss after allowing seven runs on eight hits across 2.1 innings in a spot start Monday night.u1:p

Tacoma designated hitter Jayson Werth (1x2, 2 BB), left fielder Adam Law (2x3, R, BB) and shortstop Cesar Izturis Jr. (1x4, 2B, RBI) led the way for the Rainiers offense in the losing effort.u1:p
Tacoma left-hander Matt Tenuta tossed 1.2 scoreless innings during his Triple-A debut for the Rainiers.u1:p
Las Vegas tacked on a pair of runs in each of the first two innings to take an early 4-0 lead.u1:p
Jose Lobaton launched a three-run homer to right field in the bottom of the third to extend the 51s lead to 7-0.u1:p
The Rainiers loaded the bases during the fifth and pushed a run across when Lobaton was called for catcher's interference to make it 7-1.u1:p
Las Vegas got the run back with an RBI single from Christian Colón in the bottom half to make it 8-1 in favor of the 51s.u1:p
Matthew den Dekker launched a two-run homer in the bottom of the seventh to extend the Las Vegas lead to 10-1.u1:p
Izturis Jr. stroked an RBI-double to the gap in left center during the top of the ninth to score Law and cut the Las Vegas lead to 10-2.u1:p
The Rainiers and 51s return to action Tuesday at 12:05 p.m. for the series finale. Right hander Rob Whalen (6-2, 5.24) will be on the hill for Tacoma and righty Drew Gagnon (0-2, 6.22) will take the mound for Las Vegas.u1:p
